Summer Camps with Guaranteed Internship at University of Sharjah

This two-week Robotics & Space Engineering Summer Camp by Junkbot Robotics offers an 8-day program, running two hours per session from Monday to Thursday.

The mission begins with "Mission Control," where students learn how robotics and microcontrollers are used in space exploration. Initial hands-on projects include creating digital astronaut IDs, button-activated space icons, and animated LED mission patches. Campers then explore how spacecraft use light for communication, building systems to transmit messages with color-coded lights and creating functioning emergency beacons. They will also learn how rovers use sensors to perceive their environment and build an "Alien Detector" using ultrasonic, motion, and temperature sensors.

Participants learn to use servos for precise robotic movements, such as adjusting solar panels and aligning instruments. The curriculum introduces the Arduino controller, programmed using a block-based mBlock interface, to build a temperature and proximity space monitor. Students explore safety systems by creating alerts with buzzers and movement, including a timed landing gear sequence and a "Space Station Intruder Alarm" that uses PIR sensors with light and sound warnings.

The camp culminates with the Mars Rover Mission, where students learn how real rovers navigate terrain. They will build, program, and test their own mini rover, coding its movement and obstacle detection for a mission on a simulated Mars surface. Students gain hands-on experience with space technology, develop technical skills using controllers and sensors, and collaborate to solve problems in exciting space-themed scenarios.
